Call for artists
Opening 11/12/16 Photography by Julie Ragusa
Kathe Calhoun has painted nearly 40 years using many mediums, studying with nationally famous instructors and at the Academy of Fine Arts in New Orleans, LA.
Watercolor is her medium of choice but her love to experiment with the copious amounts of new products, techniques along with an anything goes attitude makes her paintings exciting and sought after.
She has shown and sold work in numerous local shows and Washington D.C., Little Rock, AR., Rome, GA., FL., LA., MS., TX. and internationally.
Teaching has become an important part of her life. Feeling that what she has learned should be passed on to both young and old. "One learns so much from the experience that it brings fourth things that might be gathering dust and shines new light and creativity...after all, the teacher must stay one-step ahead of the pupil at all times."
Kathe was accepted and traveled to the Clinton Library in Little Rock, Arkansas, Dupont Circle, Washington D.C. and Rome GA., where she sold her work along with other artists from the Arts of Hancock.
She is prepresented by Behold Gallery and Framing in Bay St. Louis, MS., Hillyer House in Ocean Springs, MS., and Westside Gallery in Hattiesburg.
Kathe maintains a studio in her home in Bay St. Louis.
She can be reached firstname.lastname@example.org

NOAA Call To artists!
The New Orleans Art Association (NOAA) is presenting their annual national art show this next March, 2017 in New Orleans and a call for artists has been issued. The entry is open to all U.S. citizens aged 18 years or older. A show prospectus is attached herein and if anyone is interested, you may copy the prospectus and forward the prospectus as you see fit. NOAA cordially invites members of the Gulf Coast art community to participate. I am also attaching a "press release" which summarizes some of the details of the show arrangements.
Some pertinent points I will mention here and the prospectus covers these details quite thoroughly. Entry and jurying will be done electronically using digital images submitted by the entering artists. Entry is currently open via www.showsubmit.com and will close Dec 15, 2016. Acceptable media will be limited to 2D work; however, total cash prize awards of $5000 will be dispensed for the award winners. Show will start March 4, 2017 and close March 30, 2017 at the New Orleans Fine Arts Academy (uptown N.O.) and will be juried/judged by a nationally-known art curator and academy director.
I believe you, and others interested, will find the prospectus to answer any questions you may have. If not, you can call me at 985-726-9411 and/or email at email@example.com. NOAA looks forward to seeing the art of the Gulf Coast.
Thank you for your consideration.
