Art Comes Alive! - The 2014 Theatrical sketch
On Saturday, March 22nd, members of the Bay St. Louis Little Theatre presented "Art Comes Alive," with showtimes at 2pm and 3pm. This theatrical dramatic sketch was performed on the steps of the Hancock County Courthouse (170 Main Street, Old Town Bay St. Louis) by four actors, allowing audiences to experience one of the most recognizable paintings in American art - Edward Hopper's "Nighthawks" - as it came to life!
Did you ever imagine what the famous characters in a painting were saying or doing? Many wonder what Mona Lisa said or thought while posing for her portrait. The performance of the famous "Nighthawks" gave us a glimpse of one possible scenario.
One of the most popular events in ArtsAlive! 2014, watch here for details on the 2015 performance!
